Hi, I’m a freelance journalist. I mostly write about electronic music from around the world and how club cultures intersect with other ideas, art and politics.
Since August 2020 I’ve been the host of Relevant Parties, a podcast about great independent record labels. I also have a monthly show on Threads Radio playing fine new club music. Occasionally I DJ.
I’ve hosted live interviews and panel talks at Tate Modern, CTM, Red Bull Music Academy, Somerset House and other venues and events.
I’m a co-founder of Clean Scene, a climate action collective exploring alternative futures for the dance music community.
I previously hosted Top Flight on Red Bull Radio, a weekly show highlighting global club movements from around the world – you can listen to some of the archive on Mixcloud.
Before I went freelance in 2017 I was a commissioning editor at FACT Magazine. Subediting and proofreading are also in my repertoire if you’re looking for someone who’s handy with a red pen.
I have a master’s degree from Goldsmith’s University, where my research interests orbited things like embodiment, technology, capital, networks and the ethics of the spectator.
